UNIVISION’S ‘¡MIRA QUIÉN BAILA!’
THIS SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 20
PERFORMANCE FOLLOWS RECENT APPEARANCE ON
‘TEENNICK HALO AWARDS’
With an electrifying performance on the first-ever live “TeenNick HALO Awards” last month, Miral Kotb and her troupe will now showcase the iLuminate technology–the world’s first wearable, wireless lighting system–this Sunday night on Univision’s top-rated “¡Mira Quién Baila!” (Look Who’s Dancing!) show (8:00 PM ET/PT, 7:00 PM, CT). iLuminate, the team of explosive entertainers led by whiz-kid software engineer/dancer Miral brings new entertainment technology to life.
These two appearances mark the latest national TV performances showcasing the technology which was brought to the forefront of American culture on the highly competitive sixth season of NBC’s top rated summer series “America’s Got Talent” (http://www.nbc.com/americas-got-talent/contestants/team-iluminate/video/). iLuminate rose to the top of the competition after receiving acclaim from celebrity judges Howie Mandel (Deal or No Deal), Sharon Osbourne and Piers Morgan. Piers Morgan proclaimed, “In terms of creativity and originality, that is probably the single most exciting audition I have ever seen on this show.”
Miral and her production/choreography team will take their talents to Miami, FL, this weekend as they artistically direct local dancers utilizing iLuminate technology to appear in front of millions of viewers on “¡Mira Quién Baila!”—the second highest-rated U.S. produced reality show on Univision. The brain child behind iLuminate will direct a new electrifying performance set to Pitbull’s number-one hit single “Give me Everything” for the show. “¡Mira Quién Baila!”–the Spanish language version of “Dancing With the Stars”–airs throughout the U.S. on Univision and in Mexico via Televisa.
For the “TeenNick HALO Awards,” the iLuminate dancers opened the show in total darkness–the only light onstage came from iLuminate. Miral and her troupe demonstrated the ultimate potential –with a performance of nonstop surprises and illusions mixed with incredible dancing to LMFAO’s “Party Shuffle” and finished the performance by creating the word “halo” with their bodies to a surprised and enthusiastic crowd which included some of Hollywood’s biggest stars including Mary J Blige, Jason Derulo, Heidi Klum and Stephen Moyer. At the end of the iLuminate performance, host Nick Cannon felt the electricity in the room and yelled to the crowd “Give it up for iLuminate one more time…that was amazing! Right?!” The iLuminate performance at the “TeenNick Halo Awards” can be seen here: http://www.teennick.com/videos/clip/teennick-2011-halo-awards-iluminate-performance.html.
Stay tuned for news about the iLuminate technology and the troupe’s plans for 2012.
