ADDS NEW FEATURES TO ITS WEBSITE
More than 17 years after breaking ground as the first American independent music publicity firm to launch its own website in 1996, MSO moves into 2013 with expanded features at www.msopr.com. These new elements (listed below) give music journalists and others a valuable resource for content on MSO’s eclectic client roster.
With its distinct layout, msopr.com allows visitors to navigate fluidly and view continuous content on MSO’s clients.
The site’s icons function as links to MSO’s real-time social media/RSS feed, Music+Culture+Lifestyle department and Los Angeles/Nashville offices. Once selecting a musical artist to explore–either from the “Client Roster” or “News” section on the homepage–you’re instantly taken to the artist page with a continuous stream of content.
New features include:
- Artist Pages: Under four content categories–Biography, Photos & Press Clips, Client Links and chronologically ordered Press Releases–visitors can quickly screen an artist’s bio, tour dates, cover art, promotional photos, live Twitter feed, Facebook, YouTube channel, downloads, embedded videos and press releases.
- Raisethequestion.com: MSO’s spinoff Q&A website that goes in depth with the company’s iconic and cutting-edge artist roster (present and past clients) is linked on the home page.
- Mitch’s Back Pages: Check out a collection of music articles by MSO President Mitch Schneider from his time as a journalist in the ‘70s–for Rolling Stone, Crawdaddy, Circus, Good Times and more–when he worked with such iconic editors/writers as Paul Nelson, John Swenson and Jon Pareles.
- Music+Culture+Lifestyle: Features the company’s Music+Culture+Lifestyle department encompassing diverse projects such as performance troupes, cutting-edge technology, art exhibits, books, music cruises, venues and film production companies, along with the music festivals and package tours it has long represented.
- Nashville: Keep updated on MSO’s Nashville office with a seasonal update on our country artists.
- Cool Places: Explore Los Angeles–via Mitch’s “Cool Los Angeles” list, “Downtown Los Angeles Restaurants” list, and “L.A. Now” list–as well other cities including Nashville, New Orleans and Columbus, Ohio where MSO does business.
- Current & Past Clients: MSO keeps its website updated and fully concentrated on its current campaigns while allowing visitors to reference the company’s past clients at its “Past Campaigns” page.
