SWEDEN’S
REBECCA & FIONA
RETURN TO AMERICA TO DEBUT THEIR NEW LIVE SHOW
AT ESCAPE FROM WONDERLAND IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 27
DEBUT ALBUM ‘I LOVE YOU, MAN’ FEATURING
“GILIAP,” “HARD,” “DANCE,” “JANE DOE” AND “BULLETS”
OUT NOW ON ULTRA MUSIC
Irresistibly catchy and heavily beat-oriented with their breathy vocals, I LOVE YOU, MAN (Ultra Music)—the debut album from Sweden’s REBECCA & FIONA–has been a musical surprise at every turn, touching on many unexpected styles. Now the pair will take their music from record and bring it to life with a brand new live show they will debut on Saturday, October 27 at ESCAPE FROM WONDERLAND in Southern California.
Since forming Rebecca & Fiona in 2010, Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick—though experienced producers, songwriters and vocalists–have always toured as DJs to promote their music. They have played hundreds of shows all over the world alongside talents like Tiësto, Kaskade, Robyn, Axwell and Steve Angello, just to name a few,. Now for the first time, fans will get to experience tracks from I Love You, Man, produced by REBECCA & FIONA along with Adrian Lux, Axel Bauer & Alexander Berg and Carli (Robyn/Crookers), as a live act featuring the pair on vocals accompanied by two keyboardists/programmers.
Their set will include album cuts “Dance,” the Swedish multi-platinum “Bullets” and “Jane Doe,” as well as “Hard” (a classic dance floor vibe laced with acid house elements) and their newest single “Giliap.” They’ll also perform one brand new song from their upcoming 2013 album as part of their set.
Currently reigning Sweden‘s club scene, REBECCA & FIONA have become icons for a whole generation of Swedes. This past July, the pair made their North American debut with the release of I LOVE YOU, MAN and followed with a continental tour featuring dates at some of the most high-profile clubs, performed on the main stage at Tomorrowland and held a residency at Marquee in Las Vegas.
Since releasing their first single “Luminary Ones” in 2010—one of the most played songs on Sweden’s national radio P3—their stars have steadily risen. Swedish television followed the girls for several months, which resulted in their own self-titled TV show, chronicling their work as DJs, producers and urban girls. 2011 became an even bigger year for Rebecca & Fiona when they released in their country “Bullets” and the double a-side “If She Was Away”/”Hard.” They also garnered a prestigious Grammis (Sweden) Award for “Best Electronic/Dance Album” over works by Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Adrian Lux. In addition, their hit collaboration with Kaskade “Turn It Down” appeared on his Fire & Ice album.
