INVASION OF THE ANTS: ALIEN ANT FARM's ANThology (New Noize/DreamWorks) recently made its debut at #1 on Billboard's "Heatseekers" album chart, SoundScanning more than 13,000 copies the first week out. The CD--which contains a "reflective musical quality...with songs that brim with a warmly infectious vibe" (Kerrang! March 3, 2001)--has sold over 30,000 copies to date since its March 6 release, while the first single "Movies" just entered the Top 20 on Billboard's "Modern Rock Tracks" chart and continues to climb. In a review of ANThology, the Los Angeles Times (March 11, 2001) noted: "AAF exude something more hopeful, especially on melodic metal cuts such as 'Movies' and 'Summer.' A version of Michael Jackson's 'Smooth Criminal' is as dynamic as it is daring, and embodies the band's ability to maintain an edge while expressing its soft side." ALIEN ANT FARM--DRYDEN MITCHELL (vocals), TERRY CORSO (guitar), TYE ZAMORA (bass) and MIKE COSGROVE (drums)--are the first signing to Papa Roach's imprint New Noize in conjunction with DreamWorks Records. The two bands are touring together now on the "Raid The Nation" tour, after which ALIEN ANT FARM will join the Vans Warped Tour in late June. Dates are as follows:
