KORN, DEFTONES AND STONE SOUR MAKE SPECIAL

“FAMILY VALUES TOUR” APPEARANCES IN THREE CITIES;

KORN DISTRIBUTES

THOUSANDS OF $10 DOLLAR BILLS TO FANS

IN CONNECTION WITH $9.99 LAWN TICKET LOW PRICE

999 is officially here.

Thousands of fans gathered in Chicago, Sacramento and Kansas City yesterday to attend special appearances by KORN, Deftones and Stone Sour in advance of this weekend’s on-sales for the Family Values Tour, launching July 27.

In Chicago, across the street from historic Wrigley Field, it was literally raining money when JONATHAN DAVIS of KORN distributed tens of thousands of dollars to fans by throwing $10 bills to thousands of people in connection with the Family Values Tour $9.99 lawn ticket price.

“There are a lot of kids who are broke, who can’t attend concerts and we wanted to help them buy tickets for the Family Values show this summer.  We thought it was a cool thing to do--it’s a sincere thank you to the people who’ve stood by us all these years,” says DAVIS.

In Sacramento, hometown of co-headliners Deftones, the band brought out approximately 8,000 fans for a free show at Cesar Chavez Park, treating their fans to a selection of their classic hits.  The same afternoon, Stone Sour thrilled thousands of fans at a free show outside The Beaumont Club in Kansas City, MO and passed out Family Values Tour tickets to the crowd.

            The Family Values Tour day of events began at 8:00 AM with JONATHAN DAVIS’ interview and acoustic performance of the band’s hit “Coming Undone” on the nationally syndicated radio program “Mancow’s Morning Madhouse.”  This marked the first time ever the song was performed acoustically on live radio.

Next, DAVIS headed to Wrigley Field to throw out the first pitch at the Cubs vs. Nationals afternoon baseball game.  While at Wrigley Field, DAVIS posed for photos with Hall Of Famer “Mr. Cub,” Ernie Banks as well as Cubs’ pitcher Glendon Rusch.

After the game, DAVIS met with fans in a parking lot across the street from the stadium.  Thousands of people were a part of the hysteria when DAVIS threw out wads of ten dollar bills (with a huge fan blowing the money over the crowd), Family Values pit and lawn tickets, CDs and t-shirts.  When asked what it was like to walk around with thousands of dollars in cash in his pocket before the event, DAVIS said with a laugh, “I thought I was gonna get jacked!”

             Through KORN’s unique partnership with tour producer Live Nation, lawn tickets for The Family Values Tour are being offered for just $9.99 (ten great bands for under $10 dollars) with value-priced seating available at every outdoor amphitheatre stop on the summer trek.
