MEGADETH PARTS WAYS WITH SANCTUARY RECORDS

The latest MEGADETH release, Greatest Hits: Back To The Start (Capitol), entered the charts at #65.  On the concert front, MEGADETH is performing this summer on the inaugural "GIGANTOUR" package tour with Dream Theater, Fear Factory and others.  The six-week festival trek-with the fan-friendly ticket price of approximately $35 each-is the brainchild of DAVE MUSTAINE, who hand-picked the bands for GIGANTOUR, with a focus on musicianship.

MEGADETH founder and frontman DAVE MUSTAINE also confirms that the group has parted ways with Sanctuary Records.  The legendary, multi-platinum group released three albums on Sanctuary, including 2004's critically acclaimed The System Has Failed which debuted at #18 on the Billboard pop albums chart.
