--“Remember”

Hard rock group PRESENCE has been invited to open a leg of dates with Sevendust beginning August 14 in New Orleans. The group are on tour in support of their debut album RISE (Curb Records) and have just released a video for “Remember,” the follow-up to their debut single “Tonz Of Fun.” Currently airing on Active Rock stations nationwide, “Remember” is a tribute to two friends of the Tallahassee, FL group--JAY SLIM, vocals; DAN FULMER, guitars/backing vocals D.J. STANGE: bass/backing vocals; and NICK WELLS, drums--whom passed away while they were recording RISE.

“Remember” mixes quick-flowing, sentimental lyrics with the hard-driving guitar sound that is the group’s signature. The single is currently In an album review in Revolver magazine (August ’03), Gary Graff called the group “…a Florida-based quartet whose layered vocal attack and explosive dynamics result in a hybrid theory,” while Metal Edge’s (September ’03) Paul Gargano described them as “…not only as infectious as any we’ve heard in recent memory, but also a lot more viable…(Presence) hail the rhythm section as the starting point for their blustering groove, bombastic beats and lyrical flow.” The “Remember” video was shot outside a downtown Los Angeles warehouse and directed by Paul Brown, who also produced the album’s artwork.
