REBECCA & FIONAClient Biography
Rebecca Scheja // Fiona Fitzpatrick Currently reigning Sweden's club scene, REBECCA & FIONA have become icons for a whole generation of Swedes and represent what hard work combined with talent can do. This summer, the pair will make their North American debut with the July 10 release of their album I LOVE YOU, MAN on Ultra Music. Leading the charge are their smash singles “Dance,” the Swedish triple-platinum “Bullets” and “Jane Doe,” all available for the first time on this side of the Atlantic now. The album also includes collaborations with Spank Rock and Kaskade. Irresistibly catchy, heavily beat oriented with lovable vocals, I Love You, Man--produced by Adrian Lux and Carli (Robyn/Crookers)--is dance pop at its most superlative. Hailing from Stockholm, Rebecca Scheja and Fiona Fitzpatrick are dedicated producers and vocalists who spend more time nailing loops in the basement of their recording studio than splashing champagne at trendy nightclubs. They wouldn’t have time anyway; they’re too busy killing the dance floor. Since releasing their first single “Luminary Ones” in 2010—one of the most played songs on Sweden’s national radio P3—their stars have steadily risen. Swedish television followed the girls for several months, which resulted in their own self-titled TV show, chronicling their work as DJs, producers and urban girls. 2011 became an even bigger year for Rebecca & Fiona when they released in their country the double platinum-selling single “Bullets” and the double a-side “If She Was Away”/”Hard.” They also garnered a prestigious Grammis (Sweden) Award for “Best Electronic/Dance Album” over works by Swedish House Mafia, Avicii and Adrian Lux. In addition, their hit collaboration with Kaskade “Turn It Down” appeared on his Fire & Ice album.
