A DAY IN THE LIFE: Oxygen Network has teamed with ALANIS MORISSETTE for a look into the day of the life of multi-platinum singer, songwriter and musician. On Tuesday, May 18, the Oxygen Network will air eight hours of live original programming (from 2:00-10:00 PM) to celebrate the release of ALANIS MORISSETTE’s SO-CALLED CHAOS album. The network will preempt all regular programming for eight hours on Tuesday to follow ALANIS as she goes about her day from her first stop at “Live With Regis & Kelly” to a private intimate concert that night. Other activities include an in-store acoustic performance at the Virgin Megastore, a meet & greet listening party with fans and a performance atop a double-decker bus. Since emerging in 1995, ALANIS MORISSETTE has become one of the premiere singer-songwriter-musicians in contemporary music. Her deeply expressive music and performances have earned the seven-time Grammy Award winner vast critical praise and a dedicated fanbase that extends throughout the world, with album sales exceeding 40 million. Her new album SO-CALLED CHAOS–due May 18 on Maverick Records–was co-produced by ALANIS, John Shanks and Tim Thorney and features 10 new songs written by ALANIS that set her free-flowing vocals, luminescent melodies and fervent introspection in a seamless mix of rock, pop, folk, electronic and Eastern stylings. The album’s first single, “Everything” is already the current #1 AAA and Top Ten Hot AC track. It’s from her new SO-CALLED CHAOS album, which is set for a May 18 release.
