ADEMA
SET TO HIT THE ROAD WITH GODSMACK SEPTEMBER 28 AND
CONFIRMED FOR NEW ORLEANS’ VOODOO MUSIC FEST
AS THEY PREPARE TO RELEASE SECOND SINGLE “PROMISES”
Fresh off a U.S. trek with Powerman 5000 and a European tour including festivals and dates with Linkin Park, ADEMA have been invited to join Godsmack on the road as special guests for their U.S. tour from September 28 through late November, it was announced today by Antonio “LA” Reid, President and CEO, Arista Records. In addition, ADEMA will make a special Halloween appearance at the annual Voodoo Music Fest in New Orleans. At the same time, the band is preparing to release their second single “Promises” in early October. “Promises” follows the mainstream rock hit “Unstable,” the title track from their newly released Arista album.
ADEMA’s success in the past two years has not only led to a gold record and marquee tours like the 2001 Music As A Weapon tour (with Disturbed and Drowning Pool), the Projekt Revolution tour with Linkin Park and Cypress Hill, OzzFest 2002 and the 2002 SnoCore Rock Tour, but to critical praise.
Here’s a sample of what the press is saying about UNSTABLE:
“Unstable–though harder and heavier than its predecessor–is so emotionally open and intense, dealing with everything from anger and heartbreak to the joys of fatherhood.”
–J.D. Considine, Revolver , November 2003
“Here, with producer Howard Benson, the quintet ably delivers the goods. The title track’s buzzing guitars rock hard enough for the boys, while its aggressive, enticing beat will get the girls dancing. Ditto for ‘Co-Dependent’ and ‘Rip the Heart Out of Me.’ Lyrically, tales of betrayal (‘Betray’) and domestic abuse (‘Stand Up’) can be heard. But vocalist Mark Chavez also pours his heart out about his love for his son (‘So Fortunate’).”
–Christa Titus, Billboard, September 6, 2003
“Their second full-length release empowers with fewer machine-made beats and an infestation of melodies that allow for the passionate, angry and gnarly hooks to readily rise to the forefront. ‘Promises’ houses a deeply dissatisfied listlessness, the sober tempo offering Chavez a chance to heave longer breaths of life into his vocal harmonies.”
–Cathy Campagna, Metal Edge, November 2003
