AEG LIVE AND NOKIA THEATRE L.A. LIVE ANNOUNCE
STEVE MILLER BAND
WITH SPECIAL GUEST JOE COCKER
AUGUST 6TH
Blues/rock singer-songwriter-guitarist STEVE MILLER will bring his band to the NOKIA Theatre L.A. Live on Wednesday, August 6 with special guest JOE COCKER opening the show. Tickets for the concert will go on sale Monday, April 7 at 10:00AM and will be available via www.ticketmaster.com.
With iconic FM staples such as "Take the Money and Run," "Rockin' Me," “Jet Airliner,” "The Joker," “Fly Like An Eagle,” "Livin' in the USA" and "Abracadabra" to his credit, STEVE MILLER has sold over 25 million records and is still a mainstay of the summer concert season.
“I was off the road for about five or six years, [in the ‘80s] and that's when I found out I wasn't really happy unless I was writing music, playing music, having a band, performing and doing those things,” MILLER recently told the San Francisco Chronicle.
With no sign of slowing down, 2008 brings more from the STEVE MILLER BAND. MILLER will receive the prestigious ASCAP Golden Note Award in April and in May the group will release Live From Chicago (via Coming Home Media), their first-ever DVD release; it captures the band’s powerful 2007 two-night stand at Chicago’s Ravinia Festival.
Since his appearance at Woodstock in 1969, English singer JOE COCKER has been known for his distinctive vocal delivery—one of the most potent in all of rock–with hits including “With A Little Help From My Friends,” “She Came In Through The Bathroom Window” and “Feelin’ Alright.”
