ALIEN ANT FARM
PLAN TO “RAID THE NATION” WITH PAPA ROACH
VANS WARPED TOUR DATES TO FOLLOW;
“MOVIES” MOVES UP TO #31 ON BILLBOARD’S MODERN ROCK CHART
With their first single “Movies” taking over modern rock radio and extensive plans to tour into the summer, there’s no escaping ALIEN ANT FARM‘s hard-hitting rhythms and manic stage presence this year. Currently out on tour with Linkin Park and Taproot, ALIEN ANT FARM are set to pick up dates with Orgy at the end of this month which will segue into Papa Roach’s “Raid The Nation Tour” in mid-March. In addition, the band is confirmed to perform on this year’s Vans Warped Tour (dates TBA). While ALIEN ANT FARM are maintaining a steady presence out on the road, their single “Movies” is quickly becoming a fixture on modern rock radio. The song made its debut at #36 with a bullet on Billboard’s “Modern Rock Tracks” chart and moves up to #31 this week, receiving airplay on over 70 stations across the country. The first track off ANThology (due out March 6 on Papa Roach’s imprint New Noize in conjunction with DreamWorks Records) “Movies” was written during the breakup of a relationship. Frontman DRYDEN MITCHELL says the song is “a very honest, real story felt by everyone in the band.”
MITCHELL‘s passion for expressive guitar-driven rock is shared by the other band members: TERRY CORSO (guitar), TYE ZAMORA (bass) and MIKE COSGROVE (drums). “Our songs are very dynamic in texture,” says COSGROVE. “The music can be dense and technical at times, but the lyrics bring it back to where the song is something everyone can relate to.”
