GROUP SET TO KICK OFF ANNUAL NEW YORK CITY RESIDENCY
THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND will make a rare late night TV appearance when they perform on NBC’s “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” Tuesday, March 9. The performance comes just two days before the launch of their annual New York City residency which takes place this year at the United Palace Theatre with 13 shows, March 11 through March 27 (see specific dates below).
The iconic Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group–GREGG ALLMAN (vocals and keyboards), BUTCH TRUCKS (drums and tympani), JAIMOE (drums), WARREN HAYNES (vocals, lead and slide guitar), DEREK TRUCKS (slide and lead guitar), OTEIL BURBRIDGE (bass) and MARC QUINONES (congas and percussion)–is moving the show uptown to the United Palace for the first time since they began their NYC tradition in 1989 due to a scheduling conflict at the Beacon Theatre. But as always, expect the band to be joined by a wide variety of special guest musicians each night.
For those who are unable to attend any of these upcoming shows–or those who want to re-live the experience later–the band has announced the return of MOOGIS.COM, the subscription website founded by Butch Trucks where fans can get live streams of the shows in the comfort of their own home.
