Nile Rodgers is a multiple Grammy Award-winning musician, composer, arranger, guitarist and co-founder of the band CHIC. Additionally, Nile is considered one of the most influential producers in the history of popular music and has produced some of the biggest hits in the careers of Madonna, David Bowie, Duran Duran, Diana Ross and most currently, Daft Punk. With Nile’s iconic stature as a true “hit maker,” he has brought the world such classic songs as “Dance, Dance, Dance,” “Everybody Dance,” “I Want Your Love,” “Le Freak (Aw Freak Out!),” “Good Times,” “He’s the Greatest Dancer,” “We Are Family,” “I’m Coming Out,” “Upside Down,’ “Like A Virgin” and “Let’s Dance,” among others. Most recently, Nile won three Grammy Awards for his work with Daft Punk on their global hit album Random Access Memories as well as their massive hit single “Get Lucky” which has broken records for being the first song in history to go #1 on iTunes in 106 markets around the world. Look for CHIC featuring Nile Rodgers to perform a wide variety of their best hits live at the Hollywood Bowl.
As the founder of disco and an electronic music trailblazer, Giorgio Moroder made his mark as an influential Italian producer, songwriter, performer and DJ. At 73 years old, Moroder still has his hands in the center of EDM culture, swinging back into the spotlight in 2013 also as a guest collaborator on the Grammy Award-winning Daft Punk album Random Access Memories (“Album Of the Year”) and with new remixes of Donna Summer, Haim and his Scarface motion picture soundtrack. HIs newfound station as a live DJ has included major festival slots in Japan, Sweden, Mexico, Amsterdam and most recently at HARD’s Day Of The Dead in Los Angeles this past November. Over the course of his career, Mr. Moroder has worked with some of the most famous names in music including Barbra Streisand, Elton John, Cher, Janet Jackson and David Bowie. He is heavily noted for being the key player in the Queen of Disco Donna Summer‘s rise to fame throughout the 1970s, collaborating with her on her biggest hits including “Love To Love You Baby,” “Hot Stuff” and “I Feel Love.” In 1997, Moroder and Summer won the Grammy Award for “Best Dance Recording” for the song “Carry On.” He recently teamed with Verve Records to honor Summer with Love To Love You Donna, a collection of her most notable hits remixed by Afrojack, Hot Chip, Laidback Luke, Masters at Work and others. Giorgio Moroder’s music has charted success everywhere the disco craze touched down and beyond.
Other artists on the bill include tech-house and g-style producer and DJ DESTRUCTO plus OLIVER, who is dance music duo of DJ/producers U-Tern and Oligee and German producer TENSNAKE.
