Singer/songwriter ANDY GRAMMER won his first major music industry award on Tues. May 15th when Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) honored his radio debut “Keep Your Head Up” as one of the year’s Top 50 most performed pop songs across all formats. It was a noteworthy run for GRAMMER’s hit debut single “Keep Your Head Up,” which climbed to the Top 5. GRAMMER was the first artist to do so in nearly 10 years since Jason Mraz with “The Remedy” in 2003. Known for his vibrant pop/rock/soul mix and free-flowing vocal delivery, GRAMMER has gone from busking on the streets of Santa Monica, CA, to performing twice on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and sharing the stage with Taylor Swift and Colbie Caillat. “Keep Your Head Up” continues to sell thousands of copies each week and is approaching platinum status, with over 800,000 copies sold.
In other ANDY GRAMMER news, his second hit single “Fine By Me” continues its success and is currently #10 on the Hot AC chart and the video, which has been viewed over 900,000 times, is currently #7 on VH1’s weekly video countdown show (see the video here).
On the live front, GRAMMER kicks off a five-week tour with Colbie Caillat and Gavin DeGraw beginning May 27 before heading out with Train August 4.
