BLACK GOLD
TO MAKE NATIONAL TELEVISION DEBUT
ON SEASON FINALE OF FOX HIT TV SHOW
"SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE"
THURSDAY, AUGUST 12
NEW YORK BAND
CONFIRMED TO PERFORM “SHINE”
New York breakout rock band BLACK GOLD has just been confirmed to perform their song “Shine” on the season finale of FOX’s hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.” The soaring, anthemic track has been heard during the weekly contestant exit montage this entire season. On Thursday, August 12, the band—ERIC RONICK (lead vocals/keyboards), THAN LUU (drums/vocals), Kerry Wayne James (bass) and Alistair Paxton (guitar/vocals)—will make their national TV performance debut with a performance of “Shine.”
BLACK GOLD just wrapped a North American tour with Rooney and the Young Veins in continued support of their debut RUSH on which “Shine” appears. The album was recently called “…one of the lost gems of the last year” by Lily Moayeri of VenusZine and upon release SPIN hailed it as “breathlessly experimental” and lauded its “sweeping orchestral rock.” “Shine”—which also appeared in the hit film Valentine’s Day earlier this year—continues to impact at pop, Hot AC and AAA radio stations across the country.
