TO DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES’ THRIVING L.A. LIVE DISTRICT
Downtown Los Angeles is the place to be this weekend, as the city celebrates the grand opening of CLUB NOKIA, a brand new, state-of-the-art 2300-capacity music venue. Sunday, November 9 marks the official unveiling of the Goldenvoice-promoted venue with a celebrity, friends and industry VIP reception prior to the first of two sold-out nights with Beck.
Club Nokia is on the corner of Olympic and Figueroa, next to Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE and across the street from STAPLES Center in downtown Los Angeles’ newest destination for sports and entertainment which boasts more music per square foot than anywhere else in the country. A wide range of restaurants and clubs within L.A. LIVE are set to open in the coming weeks.
The two sold-out Beck concerts are just the beginning for CLUB NOKIA, with several top names already booked including Lupe Fiasco, Taking Back Sunday, Stone Temple Pilots, Gretchen Wilson and Sarah Silverman. For all the latest, check out www.clubnokia.com.
Club Nokia is the latest addition to the L.A. LIVE sports, residential and entertainment district. The tri-level venue is an intimate space projected to host 150 concerts and special events annually. The 900-person seated balcony hangs over the lower level floor allowing concert-goers an up close viewing area complete with plush seats and cup holders. VIP’s can access a specially designed, exclusive lounge featuring a private DJ booth, bar, eight plasma screens with live show feed and catering provided by Wolfgang Puck; the VIP area also includes several private cabanas and other amenities. All levels feature outdoor patios with stunning views of the Los Angeles skyline.
