AT THE THEATRE AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN,
AS PART OF THE DAVID BOWIE-CURATED HIGH LINE FESTIVAL IN NYC
The DAVID BOWIE-curated HIGH LINE FESTIVAL in NYC has announced a very exciting addition to the schedule: TV On The Radio will perform a special acoustic support slot to Air at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden on Thursday, May 10.
As the first curator for the inaugural The High Line Festival, Bowie is the creative voice behind the festival, choosing a diverse collection of artists and musicians, who inspire him and capture his point of view. Last year, Bowie appeared on TV On The Radio’s universally acclaimed album Return To Cookie Mountain, lending vocals to the song “Providence.”
The HIGH LINE FESTIVAL commences May 9 with Arcade Fire at Radio City Music Hall and concludes May 19 with Ricky Gervais at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden. Other artists performing shows at the HIGH LINE FESTIVAL are The Polyphonic Spree, Laurie Anderson, the Secret Machines, Ken Nordine, Deerhoof, Daniel Johnston, Bang on a Can All Stars and The Legendary Stardust Cowboy.
High Line is New York’s biggest and most prestigious public works project in over 50 years – a public park being created from the abandoned elevated train tracks on New York City’s West Side.
