“Kids” marks the end of an active month for AOKI that saw him return to his club roots by releasing four groundbreaking new tracks. After kicking things off with the Brandy-sampled future house collaboration with Autoerotique “ILYSM,” which MTV labeled a certified “banger,” he dropped the bass house jam “Dope Girlz” with Dim Mak’s Shaun Frank. Following its premiere on Harper’s Bazaar, the video for “Dope Girlz” was lauded byBillboard for breaking genre conventions and challenging gender roles. Next came “Bring The Funk Back,” a high-energy club track produced alongside Reid Stefan that AOKI recently dropped at Tomorrowland to a boisterous crowd. To close out “4OKI,” recent Dim Mak affiliate MORTEN steps into the ring in grand fashion to release the bass-heavy electro earworm “Kids” in collaboration with AOKI.
