DOOBIE RED: Fans of fine wine and the DOOBIE BROTHERS can now enjoy their favorite band with dinner. Northern California’s award-winning B.R. Cohn Winery has created “Doobie Red,” a special 2002 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cab Franc from Sonoma County that celebrates the group’s rich history. Each limited edition bottle features cover art from one of the legendary group’s first three album’s (1971’s The Doobie Brothers, 1972’s Toulouse Street, 1973’s The Captain And Me) on the label. Bruce Cohn of B.R. Cohn Winery has managed the DOOBIE BROTHERS for over 30 years and is donating a portion of proceeds from this wine to “The National Veterans Association.” Meantime, theGrammy Award-winning, multi-platinum iconic rock band recently released their LIVE AT WOLF TRAP CD and DVD on Sanctuary Records. Recorded during their 2004 summer tour at the outdoor Wolf Trap National Park For The Performing Arts in Virginia, LIVE AT WOLF TRAP captures music from throughout the esteemed group’s wide-ranging repertoire encompassing sales of more than 40 million records.
