GETTING THE LIFE: Due to radio demand, the release of "Got The Life," the first single from KORN's much-anticipated third album, FOLLOW THE LEADER (Immortal/Epic), has been moved up to Tuesday, July 28 from the originally scheduled August 4 date. The move was prompted as a result of radio stations which have been spinning a bootleg version of the song. FOLLOW THE LEADER, which is set for release August 18, is the follow-up to KORN's previous two consecutive platinum albums: 1994's self-titled debut and 1996's LIFE IS PEACHY, which debuted at #3 on Billboard's "Top 200 Albums" chart having SoundScanned over 106,000 copies in its first week of release. As described by lead singer JONATHAN DAVIS, the new album is a "clusterfuck" of eerie guitars, heavy-meets-hip-hop rhythms and uniquely stylized cathartic vocals matched with introspective lyrics that run the gamut from twisted and dark to hopeful. "We needed to push ourselves to a different level and take a chance," says guitarist JAMES "MUNKY" SHAFFER. "It was like jumping over a ledge and hoping you make it to the other side. Now we're looking back and going, `I can't believe we did it.'"
