ERIC HUTCHINSON
PARTNERS WITH MICROSOFT TO LAUNCH
“UNCHARTED TERRITORY” CAMPAIGN AND DEBUT “DEAR ME” OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO
ANNOUNCES SPECIAL
“UNCHARTED TERRITORY” SHOWS
COMPLETING A CAREER MILESTONE TO PLAY ALL 50 STATES
![]() Today (3/14), acclaimed singer/songwriter and producer ERIC HUTCHINSON launched a multi-tiered promotion with Microsoft premiering the official music video for “Dear Me”–a song that’s emblematic of ERIC HUTCHINSON‘s unique soulful pop and the latest single off his self-produced fourth album EASY STREET. The video features cameos from everyday people and celebrities such as Aidy Bryant and Leslie Jones of SNL, comedian Iliza Shlesinger and musician G. Love, among others, who are shown holding up messages of advice to their younger selves. Fans can click here to watch the video for “Dear Me” which HUTCHINSON also directed. The deluxe edition of EASY STREET was recently released (3/3) digitally with eight bonus mixes along with the standard version available for the first time physically on CD and Vinyl.
Starting this June, ERIC will launch his very special “UNCHARTED TERRITORY“ shows taking him to the final five U.S. states he has yet to perform in: Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Hawaii and Wyoming (see itinerary below). Once ERIC wraps his “UNCHARTED TERRITORY“ shows he will join the club of musicians able to say they have performed in all 50 states, a career milestone he didn’t realize he was so close to achieving until recently. For more information on the “Uncharted Territory” shows and to purchase tickets, visit: www.unchartedterritory2017.com.
In addition to premiering the “Dear Me” video, Microsoft, via their Microsoft Rewards program, will be running a sweepstakes with 5 lucky winners, one for each of ERIC‘s “Uncharted Territory” remaining 5 shows. Fans will be able to enter for a chance to win airfare, two-night hotel stay, and tickets to see ERIC perform.
“We were inspired by the underlying message of empowerment behind much of Eric’s self-produced album Easy Street,” says Jeff Hansen, GM of Microsoft Brand Studio. “With his single, ‘Dear Me,’ listeners are encouraged to be kind, trust in and believe in yourself, and Microsoft is thrilled to help spread that message far and wide.”
“I started thinking about my younger self and if I had only a few minutes, what would be the most important things I’ve learned since then to pass along,” says ERIC about the inspiration for “Dear Me.” “I took the exercise of writing to my younger self really seriously and was really moved when I saw what thoughts came to the surface–forgiveness, acceptance, determination and hope. It was a healing experience to look back and realize how much I’ve grown up, and it was humbling to realize that all that advice to my younger self is also advice I’d give myself today.”
