NOW ON SALE AT CRACKER BARREL
“The Rocking Chair has long been an icon for Cracker Barrel, so this is a great way to bring Cracker Barrel and Dolly Parton together,” says Peter Keiser, Vice President of Marketing. “This is the first time we have created a special edition rocker in honor of a country music star. Ever since the news about this got out, we have been receiving phone calls and emails from guests who want to be on the top of the list to get their Dolly rocker,” he added. The only way to get your limited edition Dolly rocker is to go to Cracker Barrel, or to order one of the few that have been reserved for sale at www.crackerbarrel.com. Each rocker features a pewter plate on the back engraved with its unique number and has been skillfully hand-assembled by Tennessee craftsman. The Dolly rockers are priced at $199.
Cracker Barrel is also offering The Official – Collector’s Edition – Dolly Parton Photo Album, a hardcover, glossy photo book that features Dolly’s life story and photos from her very early years right up until today. Many of Dolly’s glamorous outfits and fabulous hairstyles are documented in full color. The book also features album-cover art and pictures of magazines whose covers Dolly has graced. Priced at $24.99, this book is available only at Cracker Barrel.
And Dolly’s newest CD, Backwoods Barbie – Collector’s Edition, which features three songs that have never been heard before, goes on sale today. The three new songs–“Rose of My Heart,” “Hallelujah Holiday,” and “Berry Pie"– were selected by Dolly herself from her extensive catalog. “I wanted the songs I chose specifically for this release to reflect how I feel about Cracker Barrel and all the good things you can find there,” said Dolly. “I think it’s important for there to be an authentic connection to the heritage that Cracker Barrel and I share.” The CD also features brand new photos and artwork. Backwoods Barbie Collector’s Edition with 15 tracks, including the three new songs, is priced at $11.99.
Backwoods Barbie – Collector’s Edition is the latest project in an impressive collection of exclusive music available only at Cracker Barrel. It follows a number of exclusive releases in 2008 – November’s release of Bill Gaither’s Homecoming Hymns, the August release of Kenny Rogers: 50 Years, the July release of Ricky Skaggs’ The High Notes and the April release of Aaron Tippin’s He Believed. Over the last few years, Cracker Barrel has released exclusive CDs featuring Alison Krauss & Union Station, Josh Turner, Amy Grant, Sara Evans, and Charlie Daniels.
