Armed with two top 10 Active Rock hits, FOZZYis continuing their headlining “Judas Rising Tour” this summer/fall with Adelitas Way, Stone Broken and The Stir supporting. The dates kick off August 24 in Atlanta, GA and will hit major markets like Minneapolis, Cincinnati and St. Louis along the way (see full itinerary below). Tickets for this leg of the “Judas Rising Tour” are on sale now; click here for tickets.
The announcement comes after FOZZY‘s latest single, “Painless,“ broke into the Top 10 on Active Rock radio, currently sitting at #8 on the Mediabase chart. “Painless” is the second focus track off the band’s seventh studio album, Judas, released via Century Media Records in October 2017. Since its release, the track has accumulated nearly two million streams on Spotify and more than two million views on YouTube.
FOZZY‘s headlining tour kicked off in May 2017 with sold-out shows across North America and Europe. The five-piece band is also slated to perform at various festivals this summer, including Rock USA, Rockfest, Rock of Ages and Wacken before kicking off the next leg of the “Judas Rising Tour.”
Here’s some critical feedback in the first leg of dates:
“First and foremost, Chris Jericho is the rock and roll front man for the ages…Jericho certainly knows how to work a crowd, giving high fives and making sure each and every attendee was enjoying the rock and rage party! Jericho has surrounded himself with a wall of supremely impressive musicians, including Rich Ward on lead guitar and backing vocals, Billy Grey on rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Paul Di Leo on bass and backing vocals, and Frank Fontsere on drums…An infinitely exhilarating night on the Sunset Strip courtesy of Chris Jericho and Fozzy! Those lucky enough to capture this set within the walls of the intimate
Whisky A Go Go will have glorious rock and roll memories that will surely last a lifetime!” –Ken Morton, HIGHWIRE DAZE (3/14/18)
“They did not take their foot off the gas for one second as they unrelentingly banged out one song after another….These guys are a true honest-to-goodness rock band who deserve every bit of attention for their music. There wasn’t a single lull all night.”
“Fozzy – returned to the intimate stage of New York City’s Gramercy Theatre in glorious form…Fozzy, appeared to the packed crowd who welcomed the Hard Rock warriors by offering massive roars and unhinged adulation. Alive with energy, Fozzy exploded like a ball of fire beginning with the hit single “Judas” followed by the merry “Drinkin With Jesus” to kick-off a crazed set. Leading the crowd in a series of hand claps, Jericho grooved like “One Crazed Anarchist” before the telling “Sin and Bones” shook the earth’s core. Next, performing two more crowd favorites from Judas, Fozzy showed off nothing short of magnetic personality with “Burn Me Out” and utter torment from “Painless”…It is no wonder the Judas Rising Tour 2018 sold out venues across the U.S. as Fozzy delivered a high energy, spirited Rock show where the passion for music between the band and the audience was truly overwhelming – even Jericho’s light-up rhinestone jacket makes an appearance. While this leg of the tour is now completed, if all you wanna do is Rock, there is still time to catch Fozzy performing on U.S. soil into late April with a few shows in mid-July, do not miss out!”
“The Fozzy show at Wally Pub in Hampton Beach [New Hampshire] Sunday was probably the most entertaining show we’ve seen in months…The music was good, a fresh dose of hard rock/heavy metal that is current, heavy and thrashy enough at times to generate some head banging by fans. However, no one was head banging harder than the band and just when you thought you’d seen them do everything you’ve never seen at a rock show, Billy Grey would stand in some unusual position while playing guitar vertically or Paul Di Leo would do a near split, without missing a beat or a bass line. These guys – every one of them – added to the positive energy of the show. Gymnastics aside, the five musicians who make up the band Fozzy do know how to put on a show. Each of them took it to another level, but it was Chris Jericho who stole the show.”
“Fozzy certainly gets attention due to their magnetic frontman Chris Jericho, aka WWE wrestling legend Y2J. Make no mistake, though, this is a talented band with many excellent albums and hit songs to their credit…Their show is pure entertainment, with Frank Fontsere pounding the drums and Rich Ward, Billy Grey and Paul Di Leo jumping and dancing around the stage, putting their inner teenage metalhead selves on full display. Jericho clearly knows how to hold a crowd’s attention, but his stellar voice truly puts Fozzy over the top, with the whole band backing him up with gang vocals.”
“[Fozzy] do not play to the fans, they act as if everyone in the audience is a part of the band and they are playing for their friends. That difference created one of the best performances I have ever seen, the camaraderie on stage that filtered out to the audience created a sonic feeling of joy. It was almost as if happiness was blasting out of the speakers instead of songs…The musical talent of the band is like the finest pedigree of a thousand racehorses.”
“Chris has such an amazing stage presence that you can’t help but fully engulf yourself in the rock. The intensity only grew with each song as the band delivered a flawless performance…It was a full on rock extravaganza.”
“Fozzy did not disappoint. Packing a punch of high energy showmanship, shredding riffs, and overall fun vibes! They proved to be headbanging, all horns out worthy!…All in all, impressive vocals, shredding guitars, massive amounts of energy, crowd engaging, monster of a show! The Judas Rising Tour was outstanding to experience.”
“Let’s talk about how good Fozzy was and how much fun they were to watch on stage. It’s no secret that Chris Jericho is the consummate professional, showman and entertainer in every way possible…what’s even more impressive is that he’s managed to find a group of musicians who are equally fun and just as charismatic in their performances–complete with guitar battles, jumps, kicks, middle fingers and in-your-face antics….the show went into full swing right off the rip with Co2 going off with every riff during the first of the band’s dozen-ish songs…What matters more than what the band played is how much ass they kicked on stage. Fozzy broke the walls down at Gramercy Theater (last one, I promise) and this one was one of the best of the year so far.”

ABOUT FOZZY
Since the beginning, Fozzy has been about hard work, dedication and delivering great rock ‘n’ roll to their devoted fans worldwide; reminding them that music is all about invoking dirty, sweaty jubilation and doing it loudly! Comprised of Chris Jericho (vocals), Rich Ward (guitars, vocals), Frank Fontsere (drums), Billy Grey (guitars) and Paul DiLeo (bass), the band formed in 2000 to release their self-titled debut album. Throughout the years, Fozzy released six progressively popular records, including 2012’s Sin & Bones, which featured the hit single “Sandpaper” (more than 3 million views on YouTube) that found the band reaching a level of legitimacy that drew a mass audience to drink in their trademark heavy melodic groove. More recently, the hard rockers released their seventh studio album, Judas, which includes their explosive title track. “Judas” catapulted up the Active Rock radio chart, eventually sitting at #1 for five consecutive weeks, and the music video amassed over 18 million views. With that giant hit song in their arsenal and a similar trajectory being set for the band’s follow-up single “Painless” (#8 on Active Rock radio), Fozzy is taking its live experience back on the road for their wildly successful “Judas Rising Tour.”
