ANNOUNCE TOUR DATES WITH KID ROCK AS
“HEMORRHAGE (IN MY HANDS)” STAYS AT #1 FOR EIGHTH WEEK
As their Modern Rock hit “Hemorrhage (In My Hands)” continues its eight-week reign at #1 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart, FUEL are announcing dates for a tour with Kid Rock kicking off January 17 in Greenville, SC. The trek runs through March 3, with Buckcherry also on the bill.
FUEL-singer BRETT SCALLIONS, songwriter/guitarist CARL BELL, bassist JEFF ABERCROMBIE and drummer KEVIN MILLER-have been on the road in support of their second Epic Records album SOMETHING LIKE HUMAN, which was certified gold just five weeks after its release.
Of their live show, the Boston Herald’s Sarah Rodman said, “At the Orpheum, crunching power chords and high drama vocals marked a satisfyingly raucous set by the pumped-up members of the Pennsylvania rock quartet Fuel” (12/1/00). SCALLIONS describes FUEL‘s performances as a major thrill for the group: “I’ve always said that Fuel makes records so that we can play live,” SCALLIONS explains. “I think it’s our passion.” The band have definitely proved their passion for the road, having performed over 450 dates since the release of their platinum 1998 debut SUNBURN. That album featured the massive Modern Rock hit “Shimmer,” named Radio & Records’ #1 Modern Rock track of ’98.
