Beginning Friday, December 10, a limited amount of pre-sale tickets will be available for purchase at www.takeactiontour.com. The tour has partnered with Cinder Block Ticketing to host the ticket pre-sale event. As an added bonus, during the pre-sale event, TAKE ACTION VOL. 4–a 41 track, two-disc compilation set of today’s hottest acts in rock, punk, emo, indie and hardcore–will be available on the site for a sale price of $4.50.
Artists confirmed for the fifth annual tour–kicking off February 2 in Washington, DC–include headlining act SUGARCULT, with THE EARLY NOVEMBER, HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS, HEAD AUTOMATICA, ANBERLIN, MAXEEN,MÊLÉE, PLAIN WHITE T’s and HOPESFALL rounding out a rotating schedule. The two-month trek–a nationwide tour where cutting-edge musical artists join together to promote social consciousness and awareness–raises funds for the National Hopeline Network, a suicide prevention and crisis hotline (1-800-SUICIDE) and the new Youth America Hotline! 1-877-YOUTHLINE (1-877-968-8454), a peer-to-peer line pairing youth callers up with youth crisis workers in their area. Over the past four years, the TAKE ACTION! TOUR and CD compilations have raised over $170,000 for the National Hopeline Network. Since its inception, Sub City has raised over $470,000 for multiple charities.
In other news, the tour has partnered with mtv-U–the music channel’s college network–as an official trade sponsor to help promote this year’s trek. mtv-U will support the tour with on-air programming featuring tour promotional spots and TAKE ACTION!
