* Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster: Armed with a three guitar attack and fronted by Dallas Taylor (formerly of Underoath), Maylene blur the lines between metal and swampy, sweaty southern rock. Formed in 2004 in Birmingham, AL, the sextet released their Ferret Records debut II in 2007 and have been on the Vans Warped Tour in addition to tours with Underoath, P.O.D., Zao, Every Time I Die, Alesana, Clutch and many more. For Maylene & The Sons of Disaster contact: Jerry Graham at Warm/Fuzzy publicity: jerry@warmfuzzypublicity.com and visit www.solidstate.com.
* A Static Lullaby: Their fourth studio album is their heaviest and most vicious. The band has taken a darker path and themed the lyrics around mystery, fear, and horror. Veterans of the Orange County hardcore scene, A Static Lullaby have sold over 160,000 albums since their 2002 debut. Look for them on a full US tour supporting Maylene and The Sons Of Disaster in September and October. RIYL: Senses Fail, As I Lay Dying, Alesana. * Showbread: The Savannah, GA-based seven-piece rock group recently released a 24-song, double disc album Anorexia Nervosa via Tooth & Nail Records. For the new offering, the band took an unconventional approach. The double album features a soundtrack to a story called “Anorexia Nervosa,” which is split into two ten chapter segments. As fans read along to the story, the album acts as a musical accompaniment to the text. Sweeping and ominous, the sound is lush and organic as well as some of the most raw and harsh material the group has ever put forth. For Showbread publicity, contact: Jerry Graham at Warm/Fuzzy publicity: jerry@warmfuzzypublicity.com and visit www.solidstate.com.
* Confide: Known for their aggressive, bone-crushing vocals infused with chugging guitar riffs and eloquent lyrics, LA-based Christian rockers Confide have just released their debut album Shout The Truth on Science Records. Produced by Cameron Webb (Pennywise, Silverstein, 30 Seconds To Mars) at the Hurley Studios in Orange County, CA, Shout the Truth is a fiercely solid album focused on the band’s openly heartfelt allegiance to the message of Jesus Christ. The band’s positive demeanor and adrenaline rushing live sets eventually led the five-piece to a contract with indie label Science Records, home to genre powerhouses Blessthefall and Greeley Estates. For Confide publicity, contact: Mike Cubillos/Earshot Media: earshotmedia@earthlink.net and visit www.sciencerecords.net.
* Attack Attack!: Hailing from Columbus, Ohio, Attack Attack!–who mix metalcore, pop and a dash of electronics–are set to release their debut full length album Someday Came Suddenly November 11 via Rise Records. For Someday Came Suddenly, the sextet–Austin Carlile (Vocals), Johnny Franck (Vocals/Guitar), Andrew Whiting (Guitar), John Holgado (Bass), Caleb Shomo (Synth/Keys), and Andrew Wetzel (Drums)–tapped producer Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada, My Children My Bride) resulting in 11 songs that will shock and awe everyone with its heavy, yet poppy mix.
