FOLLOWING LAST YEAR’S SUCCESS AND ACCLAIM

“I never imagined that the tour would have received the overwhelmingly positive reactions that it did,” says JASON BONHAM. “It’s been beyond my wildest dreams to come out represent my family, my father and the music of Led Zeppelin.”
BONHAM is talking about the JASON BONHAM’S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE concert, which thrilled audiences last year on an acclaimed and successful 38-city trek of North America. Due to popular demand, it will now return for a limited run this coming May, launching May 4. It will mostly take place in grand theatres offering excellent sightlines, promising an intimate and unforgettable night of rock n' roll.
JASON BONHAM’S LED ZEPPELIN EXPERIENCE is a unique trifecta of an over-the-top rock concert featuring the unforgettable blues-rock music of Led Zeppelin, atmospheric video and light displays and the history that Bonham shares with the legendary rock n’ roll band. The show features JASON BONHAM on drums, TONY CATANIA on guitar and theremin, STEPHEN LEBLANC on keyboards/pedal-steel guitars, MICHAEL DEVIN on bass and JAMES DYLAN on lead vocals.
The band performs 20 iconic Led Zeppelin songs encompassing the band’s albums including their 1969 debut Led Zeppelin (“Your Time Is Gonna Come,” “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You,” “Good Times Bad Times”), 1969’s Led Zeppelin II (“Thank You,” “Lemon Song” and “Moby Dick”); 1970’s Led Zeppelin III (“Since I’ve Been Loving You” and ”Celebration Day”); 1970’s Led Zeppelin IV (“When The Levee Breaks,” “Black Dog,” and “Rock and Roll”); 1973’s Houses Of The Holy (“The Ocean,” “Over The Hills And Far Away”); 1975’s Physical Graffiti (“Kashmir”) and many more Led Zeppelin favorites.
In his live review for RollingStone.com, David Fricke said:
“…Jason a keen student of Zeppelin concert bootlegs, revived and built on his father’s live improvisations in ‘How many More Times’ and the extended closing turbulence of ‘Dazed and Confused.’ …In this show, he [Jason] gets to have Bonzo in the house every night–a reunion, at last, of father and son” (11/9/10).
A second RollingStone review from Ritchie Yorke noted:
“Led Zeppelin’s magic was in effect…a rousing two-hour plus set of classics from the Zep canon. The encore of “Whole Lotta Love” coupled with “Rock and Roll” earned a standing ovation” (10/20/10).
Elsewhere, Jon Bream of the Minneapolis Star Tribune raved:
“The sound was big, booming, echo-y and dirty-like vintage Zeppelin live” (10/21/10).
Ben Wener from the Orange County Register added:
“Not only do they deftly recapture the feel of Zeppelin as we know it from those indestructible albums–the killing-floor grind of ‘The Lemon Song,’ the spacey slide-guitar glide of ‘What Is and What Should Never Be,’ the swampy stomp of ‘When The Levee Breaks,’ abetted by both John’s incredible wollup and his daughter Zoe Bonham on blues-harp–but they also zero in on the improvisational fury that could erupt out of the group on stage” (11/22/10).
Darryl Smyers of the Dallas Observer said:
“Bonham and his top-notch ensemble not only replicated the sound of prime Zeppelin, they simulated the original band’s energy. The crowd of 30, 40, 50 and 60-somethings stood and danced like they probably haven’t in years” (11/19/10).
