APPEARANCES FROM GLENN BECK AND SARAH PALIN
Iconic country songstress JO DEE MESSINA will take part in Glenn Beck’s “RESTORING HONOR” event taking place Saturday, August 28 on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C. Confirmed speakers include Glenn Beck, Sarah Palin, Marcus Luttrell and more.
In partnership with the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Restoring Honor event will serve to celebrate America by honoring our heroes, our heritage and our future. This non-political event will pay tribute to America’s service personnel and other upstanding citizens who embody our nation’s founding principles of integrity, truth and honor.
JO DEE is looking forward to being a part of this monumental event. “I’m thrilled to be a part of Restoring Honor. For me it’s all about honoring the men and women that serve this country,” she says. “One of the benefits of this event is to help raise funds for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation. This foundation provides scholarships and counseling to the children of men and women that have made the ultimate sacrifice. My involvement in this event is my way of saying thank you.”
The multi-platinum and award-winning country singer/songwriter has always been dedicated to paying it back to those that pay it forward. JO DEE has partnered with the Special Olympics for several years; this past year became involved with Harvest Hands, a non-profit, faith-based organization in South Nashville; performed at multiple benefit concerts including raising funds for Haiti after the deadly earthquake and–even in her own backyard–performing at the Ryman Auditorium to aid in the Nashville flood recovery. Most recently, JO DEE hosted a charity 5K run in conjunction with CMA (Country Music Association) Fest and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
