TOUR CONTINUES THROUGHOUT 2009

Texans will tell you “Everything is bigger in Texas,” and that seems to be the case with JOHNNY COOPER. The 20-year-old singer/songwriter/guitarist performed this past weekend at Gilley’s in Dallas, TX to celebrate the release of his new album FOLLOW, a collection of all music that has inspired the young musician ranging from pop, R&B, blues, country, rock and “red dirt.” COOPER performed in big fashion bringing out a 12-piece band, entertaining the audience with songs off the new album–including the single “Bring Me Down”–as well as a few covers.

FOLLOW–out today, Tuesday, August 11 on Tenacity Records–is currently featured on AOL Music’s Full CD Listening Party.  Available for one week, the entire album is available to stream for free here: http://music.aol.com/new-releases-full-cds/#/7. AOL Music praised COOPER by noting that he “cements his rising star status with his second album of blues, country and soul.”

In his five years as a professional musician, COOPER has garnered a large following in his home state of Texas.  His first album, LIVE AT THE PUB, was voted “Best Live CD in 2006” in the Payne County Line music awards and 2007’s IGNITION sold over 25,000 copies and resulted in four songs climbing the Texas Music Charts.  He has performed over 800 shows, averaging 200 a year.  His 2009 tour dates are  below.
