JOINS THE SUNDAY LINE-UP FOR
THE 2006 VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE,
OCTOBER 28 AND 29
IN NEW ORLEANS’ CITY PARK
This year, the performance areas will be broken down into: The Ritual Area comprised of the two main stages; The Flambeau Area which will serve as an homage to the music of the region via the WWOZ/SoCo stage, the Preservation Hall Tent and the In the Round area (which will highlight the eclecticism of the musical talent on hand); and the Carnival Area with the NooMoon stage.
While the VOODOO MUSIC EXPERIENCE returns to its rightful home in City Park–only a short distance from New Orleans’ famed French-Quarter–the festival site will move to an area in the park adjacent to the New Orleans Museum of Art.
Doors will open at 9:00 AM on both days with music commencing at 11:00 AM. Free parking is available at multiple locations adjacent to the venue. For those looking for alternate means of transportation, street car and bus schedules along with route information is available at www.norta.com. Additionally, shuttles will be available from two downtown locations and also from Baton Rouge. For up-to-the-minute information on these and other details, please visit www.voodoomusicfest.com.
