JOIN VANS WARPED TOUR 2000
FOR JULY 11 SHOW IN MINNEAPOLIS;
WEEZER CONFIRMED FOR FIRST EIGHT DATES
VANS WARPED TOUR veterans NO DOUBT, LIT and BLACK EYED PEAS will join the tour July 11 in Minneapolis, MN for a special performance at Hubert Humphrey Metrodome Lot. NO DOUBT has a history with WARPED, having co-headlined the first year of the tour with Sublime in 1995. LIT and BLACK EYED PEAS were featured on the 1999 tour.
WEEZER has also been confirmed to perform on the first eight dates of the tour, beginning with the June 23 kick-off in Fresno, CA and winding up July 1 in San Francisco.
Now in its sixth year, the VANS WARPED TOUR has expanded to 39 stops in 2000 (up from 30 last year) and demand continues to increase (over 400,000 fans attended the tour in 1999). This year's line-up includes bands such as Green Day–in their first U.S. tour in over two years–The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, NOFX, Papa Roach, Long Beach Dub Allstars, Jurassic 5, Chuck D and Confrontation Camp, MxPx, The Suicide Machines, The Donnas and others as well as pro-extreme sports athletes including Rick Thorne, Steve Cabellero, Mike Frazier, Neal Hendrix and Phil Hajal. Alternative lifestyle booths such as the Ladies Lounge remain a staple for the tour, while new attractions for 2000 include the Ernie Ball Music Man/SpinRecords.com Battle Of The Bands and the Tiki Tent which will feature both and classic and non-traditional surf-inspired Warped music.
