Look for the documentary film COACHELLA to debut with premieres in Los Angeles (Thursday, January 19) and New York (Monday, January 23) prior to its One Night Only™ Big Screen Concerts(sm) debut at theatres across the country on Tuesday, January 24. Filled with six years of highlights from America’s most critically acclaimed music festival, the two-hour feature film captures the magical sense of adventure that is unique to the COACHELLA VALLEY MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL. Early praise for the film has come in from the Orange County Register’s Ben Wener who hailed it as “…an amazing documentary about the festival's six-year history…expertly presented, its focus perfectly split between the music – real music that forges ahead and alters mainstream thinking – and the message, the cultural and sociopolitical context” (Friday, December 9, 2005).
A limited number of tickets were made available to COACHELLA MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL supporters for the January 19 Los Angeles Orpheum Theatre red carpet premiere. Based on the instant sell-out and high demand for tickets, a second advance Los Angeles screening has been set for Friday, January 20, with tickets set to go on sale this Saturday, January 14 at 10:00 AM PST via TicketMaster. The Los Angeles premiere will be followed by a special New York invitation-only premiere on Monday, January 23.
Fans across the country will have the chance to view COACHELLA on January 24 via a nationwide One Night Only™ Big Screen Concerts(sm) debut. COACHELLA will be presented by Goldenvoice, National CineMedia and Network LIVE in breathtaking High-Definition and cinema surround sound at 115 participating Regal, United Artists, Edwards and Georgia Theatre Company movie theatres in 55 markets across the country, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Miami, Atlanta, Seattle and other cities at 7:30 p.m. local time (6:30 p.m. in Alaska).
