KORN
LAND THREE SIMULTANEOUS
ALBUMS ON BILLBOARD’S POP ALBUMS CHART
FOR SECOND WEEK IN A ROW
In a career marked by firsts, KORN can add one more accomplishment to their list. Trend-setting and Grammy-winning rock icons KORN have landed three albums on Billboard’s Top 200 albums chart simultaneously for the past two weeks. Their new LIVE & RARE is positioned at #99, last year’s platinum release SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE is #66 and 2004’s platinum GREATEST HITS VOL. 1 is #153.
Fans around the world can look forward to hearing songs from all these releases when the band–JONATHAN DAVIS (vocals), JAMES “MUNKY” SHAFFER (guitar), FIELDY (bass) and DAVID SILVERIA (drums)–heads overseas for headlining and festival dates kicking off May 25 in Lisbon, Portugal at the Superrock Festival.
KORN will then return to the U.S. where they’ll embark on THE FAMILY VALUES TOUR which they created and headlined in 1998. The 30-city festival trek kicks off July 27 in Virginia Beach, VA and will also feature Deftones along with Stone Sour, Flyleaf and Dir en grey on the main stage.
Known for redefining the parameters of heavy music, KORN have sold more than 25 million albums and have received widespread critical acclaim. KORN’s new single “Coming Undone” is currently #7 on the Billboard Rock Chart and is emblematic of an album that catapults the band to a new level of artistry and excitement. As ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY has noted, “…Korn sound reinvigorated on their seventh studio album…See You…stretches in two opposing directions: sweeping goth anthems and trippy electronica. It's sonically stunning stuff…” (December 9, 2005).
