ROGER SANCHEZ LAUNCHES
NORTH AMERICAN STEALTH AND SOLO TOUR DATES MAY 13
WORLD-RENOWNED HOUSE MUSIC PRODUCER AND PARTY ICON TEAMS WITH K’NAAN FOR NEW TRACK “2GETHER” DUE OUT LATER THIS SUMMER
With the announcement he will come to North America for a rare national DJ tour, world-renowned superstar DJ and party icon ROGER SANCHEZ has a very exciting spring ahead. The New York City native, who also goes by the "S-Man," will embark on a solid two-week trek–starting May 13 in Washington, DC–and visit the best clubs on this continent.
The Grammy Award-winning producer–who is also an enormous draw on the European club circuit and festival scene–will be teasing his new single, the party-rocking “2Gether” due out later this summer. The track, which hit the #1 spot on the U.K. DMC Buzz Chart upon its overseas release, features poet/rapper/musician K’NAAN as well as a B-52’s sample. “Using a sample of the B-52's party classics 'Loveshack' and the line 'Right Here Right Now,' Roger Sanchez has constructed and electro flavored party anthem,” enthused About.com’s electronic/dance columnist Ron Slomowitz. “Big drop out, check. Big build up, check. Packed dancefloor going crazy, check.”
The dates on Sanchez’ run include both solo appearances where Sanchez is the only featured DJ of the night, as well as his record label-themed Stealth nights where he will be joined by Lex da Funk. A recent signing to his Stealth label, da Funk is known for his style of funky-techy-dirty productions that have broken into U.K. charts including his remix of Tom Stephan/Superchumbo “Phreekn” and Lee Thomas/4 Child’s “Lovers & Best Friends” as well as songs "Trixie" and “Hook Phenomena.”
Founded in 2002 by Roger Sanchez, Stealth has since established itself as one of the most upfront imprints in the house music scene, supporting the freshest new talent and releasing some of the biggest tracks by the more established players in the genre. Besides releases by Sanchez, Stealth’s album outputs include music by Laidback Luke, Prok & Fitch, Jesse Garcia, Muzzaik, Belocca and many more.
Every year the seminal Release Yourself compilation is the barometer of what is what in house music–handpicked and mixed by the S-Man himself. With the 2010 edition, due out in North America July 6, Roger Sanchez celebrates his 10th-year Release Yourself anniversary. New exciting names, hot producers and remixers and of course Roger’s own special touch over the years have earned Stealth a reputation for being at the cutting edge of house music.
