FIREBALL MINISTRY
SET FOR A FALL TOUR WITH OPETH
IN OCTOBER AND
CKY TREK IN NOVEMBER;
BAND TO PERFORM WITH JUDAS PRIEST SEPTEMBER 23
IN MOUNT PLEASANT, MI;
NEW ALBUM ‘THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK,’
OUT OCTOBER 18 ON LIQUOR AND POKER MUSIC
Having just wrapped a successful five-week nationwide trek alongside CKY, the Los Angeles-based hard rock quartet FIREBALL MINISTRY are now set for a month-long tour with Opeth, Pelican and Nevermore beginning October 9 in Phoenix. In November, the band–whose new offering THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK (Liquor and Poker Music) is due out October 18–will rejoin CKY for the second leg of the “Rock Adio” tour sponsored by Adio footwear. In addition, FIREBALL MINISTRY will open for the legendary Judas Priest on Friday, September 23 in Mount Pleasant, MI.
For THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK–the follow-up to FIREBALL MINISTRY’s critically acclaimed The Second Great Awakening (2003)–the band reteamed with producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver). Recorded at Dave Grohl’s Studio 606 West and the late Elliott Smith’s New Monkey Studios, THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK showcases the definitive FIREBALL MINISTRY sound which LA Weekly described as “timeless hard rock excellence…magnificently heavy.” Album highlights include the rhythmically menacing opener “It Flies Again,” and other hypnotic tracks like “In The End” and “The Broken.”
FIREBALL MINISTRY–JAMES A. ROTA II (vocalist/guitarist), EMILY J. BURTON (guitarist), JOHN ORESHNICK (drums) and new bassist JOHNY CHOW (ex-Systematic)–recently shot a video for their first single “Sundown,” a thunderous rocker currently buzzing at radio. Directed by Brandon Trost (Josh Todd, Old 97’s) and described by frontman ROTA as “being in the true vein of a classic rock video and not to be taken ironically,” the video will premiere on both MTV2 and Fuse in October.

Check some early critical soundbites for THEIR ROCK IS NOT OUR ROCK:
“Like Motorhead high-fiving Black Sabbath at a biker orgy.”
-Sam Barclay, FHM (October 2005)
“The climate is right for the intense Fireball Ministry. Visceral guitar-driven rock is in vogue, and so the time might be right for Fireball Ministry to cash in on its memorable power chords and hook-laden songs.”
-Ed Condran, ASBURY PARK PRESS (September 14, 2005)
“[On Their Rock Is Not Out Rock] Fireball Ministry offer another helping of part stoner, part biker metal… In this day and age, any group that sticks to their guns and doesn’t give in to the mainstream should be commended, and Fireball Ministry refuse to buckle. The group made a conscious ‘epic’ effort in the songwriting department, as several tracks stretch past five minutes in length—case in point, one of the album’s strongest tracks, the moody ‘Hellspeak.’”
-Greg Prato, ALL MUSIC GUIDE (September 13, 2005)
