STRANGERS YOU KNOW is no stranger to the festival scene. In fact, the pair–Grady Lee (vocals, guitar) and Adam Haagen (piano, guitar, vocals, banjo, mandolin)–met three years ago by happenstance in the heart of the desert as attendees of the iconic Coachella Music and Arts Festival. Bonding over synths, beats, guitars, lyrics and melody, the foundation of STRANGERS YOU KNOW was born.
Grady and Adam wrapped up 2015 by releasing two new songs dubbed Pre/Post—“Queen Of Venice Beach (Oowee)” and “Shoot Me Down”–both available as free downloads via their SoundCloud. The two tracks showcase the pair’s range and versatility musically, while also aligning together lyrically to share a complete story about the complexities of young love. A lyric music video for “Queen Of Venice Beach (Oowee)” premiered via their Hangout Festival webpage. It has since been seen nearly 40,000 times; watch it now here.
