THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND LIVE ON MOOGIS.COM
BACK AT THE BEACON IN MARCH 2009 TO MARK THEIR 40th ANNIVERSARY:
ALL SHOWS TO BE STREAMED LIVE ONLINE
BY MOOGIS.COM
15-SHOW RESIDENCY RUNS MARCH 9-28
Fans of THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND who aren’t able to attend the group’s upcoming 15 New York City Beacon Theatre shows–or want to re-live the experience later–will be able to see all of the concerts on WWW.MOOGIS.COM. This year’s Beacon shows will be historic because The Allman Brothers Band will be celebrating their 40th anniversary as a band and MOOGIS will be there to capture every note.
MOOGIS is the brainchild of ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND founding member, BUTCH TRUCKS, who has been working on MOOGIS.COM for five years (“moogis” was what his infant son said when he wanted “music”). “We’re bringing the show right into your living room from a number of different perspectives,” says Trucks. Numerous state of the art video cameras will be positioned throughout the venue, as well as in the dressing room and the lobby, capturing the whole concert experience for Moogis subscribers.
After each concert is streamed live, all the shows will be available on demand until September 30, 2009 for MOOGIS subscribers. Trucks says, “At 15 nights, three hours per show, MOOGIS promises to play host to the longest continuous concert stream in the history of the Internet. I firmly believe that the best avenue to experience new music in the 21st century is via the Internet.”
For a subscription price of $100 ($125 after February 15), MOOGIS fans will be able to see all the Beacon shows plus other exclusive ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND content (both video and audio) dating back to 2000 and be a part of a social network of like-minded music fans.
Be sure to check out MOOGIS on the other networking websites where subscribers can connect with other MOOGIS fans, discuss and share great content, and be the first to know about new events, videos and other cool stuff as soon as it’s available.

The Allman Brothers Band, rock’s definitive live performance act, have played The Beacon Theatre 175 times since 1989 and established the most acclaimed and longest-running residency in rock and roll.
This year, the group will welcome many very special guest musicians who want to pay tribute to The ABB and its founder, Duane Allman. “Because they knew and loved Duane, many of them have said yes,” said Trucks in Rolling Stone magazine recently. “So, we’re working our butts off trying to learn their tunes.”
THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND and MOOGIS will combine to bring timeless music and iconic guests to the Beacon Theatre and the internet in a ground breaking combination of art and technology.
