THE BLACK CROWES
TO KICK OFF U.S. TOUR AUGUST 25 IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN;
IN-PROGRESS TOUR NOW TRAVERSING EUROPE AND JAPAN
AS VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE "SOUL SINGING" GETS ADDED TO LARGE ROTATION ON VH1
As their celebratory new single "Soul Singing" impacts the rock charts and the just-completed video garners "Large Rotation" on VH1, THE BLACK CROWES have announced dates for a headlining tour of the U.S. Set to launch August 25 in Green Bay, WI, the trek will criss-cross the U.S., wrapping October 27 in New Orleans. The group are currently touring Europe though July 21 and will travel to Japan for shows beginning July 25 and ending July 31. THE BLACK CROWES are on the road in support of their latest CD LIONS (V2 Records).
THE BLACK CROWES-singer CHRIS ROBINSON, guitarist RICH ROBINSON, drummer STEVE GORMAN, keyboardist EDDIE HARSCH, guitarist AUDLEY FREED and new bassist ANDY HESS-are no strangers to the road, having performed over 1200 shows since they formed in 1990. They recently completed the triumphant co-headlining "Tour Of Brotherly Love" in the U.S. with Oasis. While in Europe, the group are alternating headlining shows with gigs which involve sharing the stage with artists including Neil Young, AC/DC and Stereophonics. They are also participating in multi-act shows that include such artists as Wyclef Jean, Deftones, Beck and Ben Harper, among others. They will perform a total of 28 concerts in 12 countries.
The colorful, panoramic video for "Soul Singing" mirrors the energy of the song; in a review of a recent live show in Los Angeles USA Today's Mike Snider said "…the pride of the 'Lions' tunes was 'Soul Singing,' which traversed gospel, blues and rock territory as Rich Robinson provided an uplifting guitar backdrop." "Soul Singing" can be heard on over 180 Active and Modern Rock stations nationwide and is also Top 10 at over 50 Rock stations.
