THEORY OF A DEADMAN
SET TO RELEASE
SELF-TITLED DEBUT ON CHAD KROEGER’S 604 RECORDS
VIA ROADRUNNER RECORDS
FIRST SINGLE “NOTHING COULD COME BETWEEN US”
HITS RADIO IN LATE JULY
Vancouver, Canada’s THEORY OF A DEADMAN is set to release their self-titled debut CD September 17 on 604 Records/Roadrunner Records. The album marks the first release from Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger and Jonathan Simkin’s 604 Records imprint.
THEORY OF A DEADMAN—TYLER CONNOLLY (vocals/guitar), DAVE BRENNER (guitars), DEAN BACK (bass) and TIM HART (drums)–recorded their debut at Vancouver’s Greenhouse Studios with Kroeger and Joey Moy (Nickelback, Default) co-producing. The result is ten hard-edged modern rock songs, including the first single “Nothing Could Come Between Us”, which goes to radio in late July.
CONNOLLY, who handles most of the group’s songwriting, says: “A lot of the songs on the album are about relationships. I think everyone can relate to those kinds of songs.” The anthemic “Make Up Your Mind” paints the classic breakup scene, while “Last Song” is a positive outcome to a person’s thoughts of suicide. The emotionally charged “Confession” closes the disc with a reflection of CONNOLLY‘s shattered teenage years.
The group previewed the track “Invisible Man” on the Spider-Man (Music >From and Inspired By) CD, released April 30 in connection with the blockbuster film. In addition, CONNOLLY played guitar on Chad Kroeger’s hit “Hero” from the soundtrack and appeared in the video.
Look for THEORY OF A DEADMAN to hit the road in the U.S. later this summer.
