TUNE-IN ALERT:
JOHN FOGERTY TO PERFORM ON ‘THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO’
TONIGHT!
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26
Tune-in tonight (6/26) when JOHN FOGERTY performs his latest single “Mystic Highway” on NBC’s “Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” The song is from Fogerty’s latest album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE which entered the Billboard album chart at #3 and marks the Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee’s highest-debuting album of his career (including Creedence Clearwater Revival releases).
His single “Mystic Highway” is getting airplay across radio formats and has become the #1 Most Requested Song at tastemaker station KCSN in Los Angeles. WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE has been Most Added at Americana radio for two consecutive weeks and debuted Top 20 this week on the Americana albums chart. In the Non-Commercial radio world, the album catapults from 46 to #25 this week. Album cut “Fortunate Son” with guest artists Foo Fighters has already hit #3 on the Classic Rock singles chart. SiriusXM has featured the album on multiple channels from Outlaw Country to The Highway to Classic Vinyl—on which Fogerty will be the Guest DJ for a “Fogerty 4th of July Takeover.” Fogerty shared a full track-by-track album conversation with renowned DJ Jim Ladd on SiriusXM’s Deep Tracks channel. He also shared a special extended interview on Marc Maron’s WTF podcast—demonstrating the wide audience this album appeals to. There have also been unprecedented radio partnerships, such as an hourlong iheartradio concert promoted by 133 stations and Q104.3 in New York City simulcasting that full performance. Fogerty’s release night concert at The El Rey Theater in Los Angeles was telecast on AXS-TV and simulcast on legendary radio station KLOS.
Here’s what Rolling Stone had to say about the album:
“The result is some of the best new music Fogerty has made since, well, Creedence. His singing is strong and engaged, even scalding when he goes up against Kid Rock in ‘Born on the Bayou,’ and the current state of Fogerty’s guitar playing is summed up in his shootout with country picker Brad Paisley in ‘Hot Rod Heart’…Looking back at these songs, in this company, has brought out a fire and nerve in Fogerty. He sounds as renewed in these performances as the riffs and stories.” (Five star review) – ROLLING STONE
On the concert front, JOHN FOGERTY—one of rock’s most important artists and a national treasure who’s sold over 100 million albums–will be rockin’ all over the world in 2013 and 2014. Additional tour dates were announced including a three night stint at New York’s Beacon Theater in November. More dates to come soon. In addition, FOGERTY has two festival sit-ins with Widespread Panic and Zac Brown Band.
