    TUNE IN:

    WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE
TO APPEAR ON NPR’S WORLD CAFÉ
    THIS WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 30

INTERVIEW AND PERFORMANCE OF NEW SONGS OFF UPCOMING
WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE ALBUM, DUE IN FEBRUARY 2016

Tune into NPR‘s World Café this Wednesday, September 30 as five-time GRAMMY Award-winning artist, American music icon and New York Times best-selling author, WYNONNA JUDD chats with World Café host David Dye about her illustrious career and performs songs with her band from the upcoming Wynonna & The Big Noise album (slated for release February 2016 on Curb Records)

“Wynonna may do this every night on tour,” says Word Café host David Dye, “but she sure lit up this room of unsuspecting jaded music fans!”

World Café can be heard on over 200 stations nationwide. Fans can tune into their local affiliate station at the scheduled World Café broadcast time, check local listings. Or worldwide, the WXPN Philadelphia stream can be heard at 2pm ET via www.XPN.org by choosing WXPN from the ‘Listen Live’ drop-down at the top of the page. At approximately 5pm ET on the day of broadcast, this episode will be featured as the current show and archived for on-demand streaming on the World Cafe website.

WYNONNA has been working with Cactus Moser, her husband, producer and drummer of The Big Noise, on material for her 8th studio album, due out February 2016 on Curb Records. The pair debuted some of the new songs earlier this year during their at-capacity show as part of the SXSW Music Festival. NPR’s Ann Powers was in the crowd and noted: “The Nashville superstar is in transition, moving from studio-polished pop to a rawer, more intimate style in a small combo anchored by her husband and producer, Cactus Moser, on drums. Wynonna shared material from her upcoming album and reworked major hits like ‘She Is His Only Need’ with clean arrangements that highlighted her still-extraordinary voice…[she] belted out notes that would have made Aretha Franklin weep. ‘I was named after Wynonie Harris, so I’m blues on the inside,’ she declared before delivering a face-melting version of Robert Johnson’s ‘Crossroads.’ Wynonna let it all hang out tonight. It was clear she can get wherever she wants to go.” (3/21/15).
