SOCIALLY BASED ANNOUNCEMENTS
BLINK 182 is the latest band to be unveiled in the line-up for THE VOODOO EXPERIENCE PRESENTED BY STEPHEN REHAGE. The Los Angeles band join previously announced headliner Soundgarden–in the band’s only 2011 festival appearance–at the top of the line up for the annual Halloween weekend (Friday, October 28, Saturday, October 29 and Sunday, October 30) musical celebration in New Orleans’ City Park.
In previous years, the VOODOO line-up was revealed via a comprehensive late June announcement. This year the roll-out is socially-based with announcements coming daily via the VOODOO website and Facebook and Twitter feeds. Through this process, VOODOO is supporting each act on the bill equally and also engaging the audience in a daily interactive dialog that furthers the musical exploration that is inherently a part of the music festival landscape.

Each of VOODOO’s individual performance areas is enhanced by the use of interactive art set amid City Park’s lush lagoons, bayous and one of the largest collections of mature oak trees in the world.
