THROUGH 2019
TEN-YEAR DEAL INCLUDES DEVELOPMENT
OF PERMANENT FESTIVAL SITE WITHIN
CITY PARK
“We’re very lucky to have such great partners in the entire City Park team,” says VOODOO EXPERIENCE founder and producer Stephen Rehage. “I am greatly appreciative to Bob Becker (City Park), and Stephen Perry (of the New Orleans Convention & Visitors Bureau) who worked with us to get this deal done. We look forward to celebrating with them this weekend and to working together in creating a permanent home for VOODOO in the place where it all begin 12 years ago.”
“Voodoo keeps getting better each year,” says Bob Becker, CEO of City Park. “How exciting to know that one of the preeminent and quintessentially New Orleans music events will continue to be held in City Park through 2019.”
This year’s VOODOO EXPERIENCE–October 29, 30 and 31–will once again feature one of the most diverse artist line-ups of any musical event in America: an unbeatable mix of what’s cutting edge, iconic and traditional (New Orleans) that pays tribute to the music of the region. The mainstage line-up includes Muse, Ozzy Osbourne, Weezer and My Morning Jacket, while the reintroduction of the VOODOO dance space (Le Plur) features some of the top electronic artists including Paul van Dyk, deadmau5, Ferry Corsten, Die Antwoord and just announced additions Kelis, the Crystal Method, Kaskade and Swiss Chriss.
Partners of the 2010 Voodoo Experience include American Express Zync, Toyota, PlayStation 3, Sony Bloggie, State Farm, Miller Lite, Southern Comfort, Santa Fe Natural Tobacco, American Rag, Dickies, Fuse TV and Vtech. Media partners include WWOZ Radio, Billboard.com, College Humor, Nola.com, Filter Magazine, Spin Magazine, Fader Magazine, Offbeat Magazine, Where y’at Magazine, Antigravity and Gambit Weekly.
