WIXEN MUSIC PUBLISHING, INC. has just signed a worldwide administration deal with The Estate of Stevie Ray Vaughan, it was announced by the company’s president Randall Wixen. In addition to the Stevie Ray Vaughan songs,WIXEN MUSIC PUBLISHING, INC. will handle the repertoire of Stevie Ray Vaughan’s brother, Jimmie Vaughan(including the works written for his former band, The Fabulous Thunderbirds.) Recent WIXEN administration signings include the Byrds’ iconic pioneer Roger McGuinn, Chicago founding member Robert Lamm, Jefferson Airplane legend Grace Slick and acclaimed ukulele virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro.
“These are real great signings for us,” says Randall Wixen. ‘We are thrilled to be working with these iconic American repertoires. We will be working hard to insure that all royalties are being collected properly while simultaneously taking steps to reinvigorate public awareness and generate new uses.”
