ALANIS MORISSETTE AND Z.COM TO HOST INTIMATE PERFORMANCE AT MUSEUM OF TOLERANCE IN LOS ANGELES
Private concert streamed exclusively on Club.Z.com
Burbank, CA, August 8, 2000 – Z.com, an Internet entertainment studio offering original online comedy, film, animation, games, live events, and celebrity programming, is presenting “An Intimate Evening with Alanis Morissette” at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles on Thursday night, August 17th. The show wraps up the singer, songwriter and musician’s three-week, eleven-country The One Tour throughout the Middle East and Europe and includes an acoustic live performance, a question-and-answer session with Morissette and an audience participation multi-media presentation. Club.Z.com hosts the private event that will be webcast and available on demand beginning September 12 at Club.Z.com . The webcast will feature four simultaneous video streams, which has become a Z.com trademark.
Morissette chose the Museum of Tolerance for The One Tour finale because the museum has dedicated itself to teaching Los Angeles area youth the importance of accepting diversity and sharing cultures. Morissette created The One Tour with hopes of communicating ideas of unity, international curiosity, compassion and her inspirational music with fans that do not regularly have the opportunity of experiencing live American music.
The One Tour brought Morissette to foreign cities in such countries as Croatia, Turkey and Lebanon where fan “ambassadors” guided Morissette through their worlds. Z.com digitally captured the tour and has made it available through a series of webisodes at The One Tour official website Alanis.Z.com (www.Alanis.Z.com). The August 17th finale show hopes to reflect The One Tour’s intention of sharing positive messages of cultural understanding and acceptance while encouraging the unity of all people through artistic expression.
“An Intimate Evening with Alanis Morissette” is a unique event where the audience is asked to participate in a hands-on activity. All in attendance will have the opportunity to paint a square that will be assembled into a patchwork painting. Morissette will also participate in the artistic project which represents the evening’s themes of sharing, expressing and unity.
The private event consists of 300 audience members. Tickets are being given away to lucky Morissette fans at a sweepstakes held on Alanis.Z.com. Other attendees will be the highest bidders at Amazon Auctions (www.amazon.com/alanis-auction ) where tickets will be auctioned off daily from August 8th to the 15th. Proceeds from the auction will go The Active Element Foundation and the Museum of Tolerance.
Along with hosting the concert, Club.Z will provide four simultaneous views of the concert on Club.Z.com . This proprietary technology allows fans to choose from which angle they would like to view the concert.
“Club.Z.com is very proud to host this intimate event. The show’s message is meant to be shared with fans around the world and we are happy to be the vehicle spreading Alanis’ gospel,” says Joe DiNunzio, CEO of Z.com. “We believe Club.Z will provide viewers with the optimal viewing experience and the ability to customize it based on our technology.”
