BLACK GOLD JOINS THE PIXIES IN LA AND OAKLAND; ANNOUNCE UK TOUR

BLACK GOLD has announced that they will be playing with The Pixies in Los Angeles on November 5 at the Palladium and Oakland, CA on November 10 at the Fox Theater, on the heels of their current tour with Girl In A Coma which wraps November 3 in Mesa, AZ. The duo–multi-instrumentalists ERIC RONICK and THAN LUU–will then close out a very busy 2009 overseas, as they head out on a brief U.K. tour with The Bookhouse Boys in December.

On the road non-stop in support of their debut full length album RUSH–released earlier this year to rave reviews from Spin, People, URB.COM, MetroMix, Big Shot and more–BLACK GOLD has made high-profile appearances at All Points West and SXSW, and shared stages in the U.S. and U.K. with the likes of Neko Case, the Scissor Sisters, The Hold Steady, Panic at the Disco and Lydia.

The video for the keenly constructed, keys-driven “Plans & Reveries” won mtvU’s weekly online competition “The Freshmen” earlier this year and the infectious analog synth strut of “Detroit” was made available as an iTunes “Single of the Week” last fall.
