TO SEVERAL UPCOMING DATES
OF THE ‘NINJA NATION 2017 TOUR’
![]() New bass hip-hop producer DATSIK has announced the addition of special guest Kytami to several upcoming dates of his in-progress “Ninja Nation 2017 Tour.” The two-month, 48-date outing, which kicked off mid-January, features the young masters Crizzly and Virtual Riot and DATSIK’s new Shogun Stage production, armed with shaolin bass from the infamous PK-Sound. Tickets are on sale now at www.ninjanationtour.com. See below for the list of remaining tour dates.
Watch the latest Ninja Nation Tour recap video here. Kytami (Kyla LeBlanc) will join DATSIK in Boise, Portland, Spokane, Billings, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver to help close out the tour. The Canadian ‘extreme’ violinist performs live with DJ “Phonik Ops” (a childhood friend of Datsik’s), together forming a bass-heavy mix of dubstep and hip-hop. Kytami–a founding member of the global fusion group, Delhi 2 Dublin–has performed throughout North America and internationally as well as at various festivals and opening for Zeds Dead, Dub FX, Zion I, Araab Musik and others. Kytami’s upcoming tour dates will support her new album Renegade, available March 10 on East Van Digital. For more information on Kytami, go to www.kytami.ca. Themed after his obsession with ninja culture previously marked by his 2015 ‘Ninja Nation Tour,’ DATSIK brings with him a new high-tech production to the 2017 edition called “The Shogun.” “The Shogun stage is the next chapter and is an amalgamation of my wildest vision to date,” says DATSIK. “After touring with the Vortex, I’ve wanted to create something unique that will stand out from the rest, and embody what it is to be a rave ninja. We’ve got a ton of dope surprises waiting for you with this one, so get ready to have some fun! Can’t wait to see you guys on the Ninja Nation 2017 tour!” he adds. Cuts from DATSIK’s latest seven-track SENSEI EP will be a focal point of the Ninja Nation trek. The EP-released December 16 on Firepower Records–itself is the result of a full immersion into the serious study of bass bad-assery from its first single “Just Sayain,” a bass-fueled single sure to infiltrate the dance floor to “Redemption,” his collab with fellow hometown Kelonean Excision. About DATSIK
Since launching the Datsik brand, Troy Beetles continues to evolve as a solo artist all the while pushing his beloved bass music world to new lengths, both on a personal artistry level and as a genre as a whole. From bedroom producer to chart-topping artist, internationally touring act and owner and founder of the enterprising Firepower Records, Datsik is poised to make bass music the sound of the future. Datsik took his initial steps into global dominance in 2009 with the Nuke ‘Em and Boom EPs featuring Excision and the legendary Flux Pavilion as collaborators. In that same year, Datsik claimed 10 Beatport #1 releases. Additionally, he has also released massive remixes for dance music icons Skrillex, Diplo, Kaskade, and Zedd, as well as two collaborations with Bassnectar and two more with Diplo on his Express Yourself EP. He has also remixed artists from the mainstream pop world and hip-hop spheres such as Coldplay, Lil Wayne, MGMT, Linkin Park, Wu-Tang Clan, one of the biggest influences on his sound, and, most recently, Lana Del Rey. Other releases from Datsik’s arsenal include Vitamin D, his debut artist album on Dim Mak Records (2012) and the Cold Blooded EP, the corresponding Let It Burn full-length album on Firepower (2013) and the Darkstar EP (2016).
