The Record Parlour doc trailer:
A documentary short film on THE RECORD PARLOUR–the newest and most distinguished record store to open up in Los Angeles–has been selected for the Hollywood Film Festival taking place September 23–27 at the Arclight in Hollywood.
Located in the heart of Hollywood, THE RECORD PARLOUR is a one-of-a-kind vintage vinyl shop and lifestyle store which is ushering in the Hollywood renaissance. With an authentic vibe of over 30,000 vinyl records, vintage stereo gear and music memorabilia surrounding artists as they perform and delighting fans as they search for vinyl treasure, THE RECORD PARLOUR is where artists and fans connect in a unique place.
Director Ryan Goble was so moved by Record Parlour owner and founder Chris Honetschlaeger‘s passion for records and operating a vinyl shop that he created ‘The Record Parlour’ short film (4.55 min.), one out of 60 films chosen from over 2700 entries to the Hollywood Film Festival. ‘The Record Parlour’ documentarywill be shown opening night of the festival on Wednesday, September 23 at the Arclight Hollywood in the primetime spot (8:45pm) just before the feature-length documentary film ‘Who Is Billy Bones?‘ (9:00pm), which focuses on the life of Steven “Billy Bones” Fortuna, the lead singer of the early, legendary Los Angeles punk rock band The Skulls.
Following the Hollywood Film Festival premiere of ‘The Record Parlour’ short film and ‘Who Is Billy Bones?‘ at the Arclight-Hollywood, THE RECORD PARLOUR will host an after-party where The Skulls will perform live.

About THE RECORD PARLOUR:
The newest and most distinguished record store to open up in Los Angeles, THE RECORD PARLOUR offers a unique music experience and is quickly becoming a staple hang out in the heart of Hollywood. THE RECORD PARLOUR has been building a name for itself by hosting some of the most exciting in-store showcases, from pop-up gigs and DJ sets to entire live performances recorded and transferred directly to vinyl onsite. THE RECORD PARLOUR is owned and operated by founder Chris Honetschlaeger and manager/partner Chadwick Hemus. With Chris’ background in vintage equipment and Chadwick’s pedigree as a vinyl curator for the original Amoeba (San Francisco), sound and quality reign overall in performances and selection. THE RECORD PARLOUR’s vintage gear offerings–jukeboxes, amps, microphones, ’70s turn-tables and speakers–are refurbished to pristine condition alongside its vinyl collection which focuses on original releases verses new releases. By combining records and vintage equipment as well as creating a new home to music collecting and live music experiences, all in the heart of Hollywood, THE RECORD PARLOUR is more than a vinyl shop–it is ushering in the Hollywood renaissance. THE RECORD PARLOUR, has a new music and cultural venue for Hollywood: THE AMERICANA LOUNGE, set to open this December around the corner from THE RECORD PARLOUR. Read the full interview and story about THE AMERICANA LOUNGE (HERE). THE RECORD PARLOUR is located in Cahuenga Corridor: 6408 Selma Avenue: Hollywood, CA 90028.
