THIS JUST IN: EARTH, WIND & FIRE will release THE PROMISE, their first album of new material in six years, May 20 on the Los Angeles-based Kalimba Records. Co-produced by founding member Maurice White, the album will include the songs “Never,” “Why” and “All In The Way,” which features a reunion with R&B songbirds The Emotions, who also contributed vocals to EARTH, WIND & FIRE’s 1979 hit “Boogie Wonderland” and 1981’s “Let’s Groove.” Meanwhile, plans are in the works for a major summer concert tour in the U.S. by the legendary group.
